Hybrid Triple Camber
Hybrid Triple Camber is a game changing innovation. The center rocker of our patented Rocker Camber profile now contains a third camber area creating two small high pressure rocker sections on either side. The result is R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology, a powerful edge hold tech without the drag of serrated edges and a balanced ride not found in any other profile. Hybrid Triple Camber makes the most efficient use of your entire edge. The primary edge hold starts from the center of the board. It’s insanely responsive and stable and aids the high performance engagement of the two outside camber areas located under your feet. WOOBOO WOOD CORE
Never Summer's WOOBOO WOOD CORE combines Bamboo stringers, Paulownia, Poplar and Birch. The Bamboo stringers are light, extremely strong and gives the board quick reflex and lessens vibration. Paulowina is a hardwood that can grow up to 15 feet a year! Bamboo and Paulownia are great sustainable options, Other hardwoods, Poplar and Birch are added, giving the core a great strength to weight ratio. Birch is strategically placed underneath the mounting inserts for a secure, solid connection.This combination of wood species and Bamboo supply the snowboard with a crisp and light underfoot feel with powerful performance.
SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE
Using a custom blend of wood species that was designed to be a lightweight yet durable core. Our SUPERLIGHT WOOD CORE is CNC sanded in our custom woodworking facility to a fraction of a millimeter. A tailored flex is perfected, giving our snowboards unequaled performance.
ALLPOP WOOD CORE
ALLPOP WOOD CORE is comprised of extremely light Poplar stringers throughout the full length of the wood core. This durable wood is highly impact resistant and very energetic providing a consistent and stable flex pattern. Poplar wood also has natural damping characteristics giving a snowboard a very smooth ride.
POWERSURF WOOD CORE
A high percentage of lightweight Paulownia is combined with Poplar and Birch running down the middle of the core and Poplar along the sidecut edge. Adding strength and the optimum amount of torsional rigidity. THE POWERSURF WOOD CORE strategically combines these woods in crucial areas of the core for a durable yet lightweight feel.
PRESS FLEX CORE TAPER
The PRESS FLEX WOOD CORE TAPER features a precisely configured and CNC sanded wood core profile to create 2 seperate flex points between the bindings. These flex or hinge points allow a rider the ability to torsionally flex and control the board. Made for manipulating and flexing the board at slower speeds with a playful feel, ideal for buttering, pressing and jibbing. These hinge points allow a rider to really lock into your press or flat ground butter and spin tricks. Making the PRESS FLEX WOOD CORE TAPER the perfect foundation for freestyle performance.
RDS 1 DAMPING SYSTEM
The laminated damping layers of RDS 1 are the most extensive in the line. Utilizing a high amount of elastomeric rubber along the effective edge provides unmatched vibration damping and edge hold in variable snow conditions. This substantial damping system also supplies a snowboard with optimal high speed stability.
RDS 2 DAMPING SYSTEM
RDS 2 or Rubber Damping System 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness. A more substantial system than a freestyle board to stabilze the board at higher speeds but a little less than damping in a freeride board for leaving the snow. An ideal combination of vibration absorbtion and energetic feel.
RDS 1+ DAMPING SYSTEM
RDS 1+ is our most extensive damping system designed specifically for our splitboards. With twice the amount of damping material as our other systems for unmatched stability in variable conditions. RDS 1+ wraps elastomeric rubber aroud the perimeter of each ski completely for unmatched durability.
FREESTYLE DAMPING SYSTEM
This lightweight system is specifically designed for Freestyle performance. FDS or Freestyle Damping System, uses narrower elastomeric rubber foil to reduce weight and provide a snappier feel. Perfect for giving the board a crisp underfoot feel. Freestyle boards are meant to leave the snow or catch air and not weighed down by an overly damp board. FDS furnishes a lively feel while maintaining Never Summer's legendary ride.
HARMONIC TIP/TAIL DAMPER/PROTECTION
HARMONIC DAMPERS in the tip and tail take out a high percentage of residual vibration by quieting the nose and tail. This enhances stability at speed, in variable snow conditions and on board landings without deadening the liveliness and pop of the cambered areas.
ECDS Elastomeric Carbon Damping System
Carbon Fiber strands are positioned from the binding mounting area toward the ends of the board, additionally broad elastomeric rubber damping strips are layed on top of the carbon fiber. This stabilizes the board at high speeds and through choppy snow conditions, while absorbing residual vibration or flutter in the nose and tail.
ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS
ELASTOMERIC UNDERFOOT STABILIZERS are placed directly below the mounting area, providing optimum vibration and shock absorption and increase high-speed stability. These underfoot stabilizers also add cushioning while reducing foot fatigue.
TRANSITION AREA
A flat section of a snowboards profile, the TRANSITION AREA, that lies at the end of the camber zones just before the tip/tail rise. This area smooths out the transition between the camber area and the tip rise for fluid turn initiation and enhanced powder floatation.
P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION
P-TEX TIP/TAIL PROTECTION places UHMW or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene out to the ends of the board for incredible durability. This material protects these crucial ends of the boards from impact damage and will not crack or break. It not only absorbs impact but also a high amount of residual vibration, while sealing and protecting the wood core.
LOW PROFILE TIP/TAIL
A lower profile in the nose and tail of the snowboard maximizes material contact with the snow for more powerful ollie/nollie pop and adds stability to your landings. LOW PROFILE TIP/TAIL also reduces the plowing effect in the nose for better glide to the next feature and increases the effective edge for hold and stability.
EARLY RISE NOSE
EARLY RISE NOSE is a longer tip section that comes off the snow closer to the front binding area. This front end rise and float design gives a board incredible lift in powder, slush and heavier snow conditions. This also provides very smooth turn initiation compared to a traditional steeper kick transition that tends to plow or push snow when engaging a turn.
POWER GRIP SIDECUT
POWER GRIP SIDECUT utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. A flat section in the rocker area provides a broad contact point when flexed, however when unbent allows the board to track straight and not catch. Flanking this straight section are two shallow radiuses which provide the second and third contact points. Towards the ends of the sidecut are deep radiuses which render quick turn initiation and the final contact points.
PREMIUM TOPSHEETS
The PREMIUM TOPSHEETS are our very durable, lightweight, scratch and chip resistant fiber backed thermoplastic. These premium topsheets also provide extremely vibrant colors along with more grip than other topsheet materials, working as a built in stomp pad. Our Co-Extruded premium topsheet (Nylon and Polyester) include our Hex-Tech, Carbonium, Matte and TruGrit Topsheets.
UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL
We were the first snowboard company to use and perfect UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), and we've never seen one crack. Unlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL maintain their integrity at any temperature. UHMW Polyethylene sidewalls also enhance damping characteristics above the metal edge.
CARBON VXR LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
CARBON VXR extends carbon fiber V's out from the inserts to the effective edge for quick response while stiffening the board torsionally in that area. Originating from the binding mounting zones, Carbon V's engage the edge for quick repsonse. Additionally, V's are positioned to the ends of the board providing maximum boost and pop when loaded up. This is an ideal layup to transfer energy to the end of the effective edge, tip/tail and still give the board a softer more forgiving mid-flex for torsional control.
CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY
More carbon equals more power and performance. The CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY combines an advanced top and bottom carbon matrix to maximize response and strength where it's needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful configuration that provides torsional rigidity and energy transfer without sacrificing the control a rider needs.
Recluse Carbon Web Technology
Carbon Fiber is bound in 20 degree angles to add torsional stability to the board, along with longitudinal rebound, enhancing edge hold pressure. The RECLUSE CARBON WEB TECHNOLOGY holds the integrity of the board's flex pattern over a longer period of time and creates powerful snap in and out of the turn.
STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS
The world's best snowboard fiberglass, period. Our STS PRETENSIONED FIBERGLASS is an advanced pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers (the length of the effective edge). This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving our snowboards unmatched strength, edge hold and performance. Most bows use this type fiberglass due to it's unmatched ability to spring back and cast an arrow at a tremendous velocities without breaking.
BI-LITE FIBERGLASS
BI-LITE FIBERGLASS combines many of the strength characteristics of our STS fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.
DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE
Our suppliers have developed an exclusive, super fast, durable sintered base specifically for our boards. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making the DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE one of the fastest and certainly the most durable P-Tex bases on the market..
