Just last week I decided to spend some of my moldy money and updated/upgraded from my 2005 Lib Tech Jamie Lynn 154 to a 2026 Never Summer women’s Proto T3 FR 153. Although there was nothing wrong with my Lib I was excited to try the newest board tech. First impression off the lift was not great. It felt like the edge was sloppy on the flats. (Probably due to the camber and only having 1 foot strapped in, or the fact that the board is so lightweight!) It was slow and sticky skating over to the edge of the hill. (Chalked that up to a still warm board with factory wax.) As I went down the hill, picked up speed, and did a few turns I cheered up immediately. I got a little more familiar with it and sent it, and by the bottom of the mountain I was grinning like a kid on Christmas. The board was FAST! Super responsive! And I stuck every turn with confidence knowing it would not slide out on me. It just generally ripped. I wanted to tell everyone on the lift how sick my new board was! So, not that there was anything necessarily wrong with my old Lib Tech, the new technology in the NS makes me giddy. I was smiling down every run and can’t wait to get back out and get even more comfortable with it. (44 year old mom, ripping the east coast since the 90’s)
I'm new to boarding but within 3 days I was ripping like I knew what I was doing by day 10 I've had comments from lifties on the hill about my fast progression and many think I've been boarding for 1-2 years. I GIVE MAD PROPS to this board as it really does help with edge grip which boosts my confidence in learning. I know it's an advanced board but I wanted to grow into it and I'm glad that I purchased it. VERY HAPPY will be a life long customer and I legit was sold as soon as I saw the wolf. LOL Thank you for the sick board and I get LOTS of compliments on it while riding!
I spent well over a year shopping for a new board, & I just kept coming back to Never Summer. One thing I've noticed a lot when it comes to snowboards is that a company will produce a top quality men's snowboard & then skimp on quality when it comes to the women's version of the same board, all while listing both with the same price tag. Not Never Summer! After a ton of research & window shopping, comparing so many women's boards to the quality of their male counterparts, Never Summer kept standing out above the rest. This year I took the plunge, & bought myself the Proto T3, & I am so glad I did! Took this board from the shop right up to Stowe after a 7" snow storm, & she proved to be everything I wanted in a board & then some, a smooth stable ride that floats like a dream through powder, but cut like a knife into those wind scoured patches of ice. All in all, I am absolutely thrilled with this board, & its an absolute blast to ride! The quality that Never Summer put into building this board is obvious, & I love that I have a board that feels like it was truly designed & engineered for a woman with the same effort, quality, & technology that they put into their men's boards. Thank you, Never Summer!
Love this board. Had the never summer raven for years. Love the triple camber holding an edge much better than rocker camber. Rides steeps and bumps great.
