Don’t be fooled by those other fat, sloppy snowboard mammals. The Harpoon is the best performing, tapered, volume board ever imagined. Amazingly nimble, with smooth and freakish stability. Feel free to size down 3-6 cm or just ride it in your regular size. It’s going to perform better than any board you’ve ever ridden no matter what you choose. Pull the trigger on the real apex predator. You’ll ride better for it!

This thing shreds on the pow in the most playful and enjoyable way.
Great for big snow turns while flexible enough to jib around the mountain
I was a beginner who was struggling with a 158 W burton board. After doing a ton of research, I knew I wanted a Never Summer deck. Harpoon would let me size down so it was perfect. I am 140 lb, 5'11'' and I went with a 152. Living in Utah, I knew this board will keep me flying on powder days and through trees but those were goals I set for next season. Guess what? This board proved to be so stable and so nimble with such great float that I already achieved those goals! I am a strong intermediate rider now. I even did side country off of Brighton's Great Western lift on a deep powder day. The nose floats beautifully on the fluff. The edge cuts through like knife on butter. It is a pleasure to ride this board through trees. The board works just as well on hard packed days. I was concerned about stability at speed since I went with a 152 but I do not know what magic goes into making of this board, it stayed stable enough that I broke my top speeds several times without even realizing it! I have ridden it in Brighton, Solitude, Snowbird and Aspen on varying conditions and it absolutely ripsss. I owe it to Harpoon for taking my riding to next level in just one season. Thank you NS for creating this beauty!
just went to Lech /Arlberg for a week with my Harpoon 2022. no freeriding as no pow. but the board really moved my snowboarding to a different level. so great. carving, turning, holding the edge, even going fast. I am 190cm and I have a 156cm one. a few weeks back I had the pleasure of using it in 10cm new pow for 3 days - wow....almost incredible how easy and cool this one is floating.
One day at Loveland CO and I'm in love with it! Granted my previous board (K2 HC161) is 28yrs old so perhaps not a fair comparison, but the Harpoon 156 (I'm 6'0" and 160lb) just seemed to dance under my feet with complete and easy control. I just "thought" what I wanted it to do and it complied - broad carves, nimble edge-to-edge, finesse on the edge. Got back on my K2 after riding the Harpoon and it was like going from a Porsche to a TownCar. Thanks to John and Vince for their help choosing it!
In Feb 2022, I rode the Harpoon in Zermatt, Switzerland when the airlines lost my luggage and I had to rent a board. And I am sooo thankful because this board absolutely crushes! I was on the 156, although I am usually most comfortable on boards 160 (I'm 6', 225 lbs). On piste was pretty hard packed and to my surprise, this board really held an edge well, even allowing for pretty solid carving. We found some knee deep but heavier snow off piste and I was entirely impressed by how well this floated my weight and turned with ease. I'm actually thinking about adding this one to the permanent rotation and that is saying something considering I own several NS and a number of different manufacturers' boards.
