Product Details
Don’t be fooled by those other fat, sloppy snowboard mammals. The Harpoon is the best performing, tapered, volume board ever imagined. Amazingly nimble, with smooth and freakish stability. Feel free to size down 3-6 cm or just ride it in your regular size. It’s going to perform better than any board you’ve ever ridden no matter what you choose. Pull the trigger on the real apex predator. You’ll ride better for it!

Harpoon Floats, Turns & Bites. Been on it for 10 rides so far. Not a ton, but enough. Loveland (icycoldsnow) Copper (chundersnow w/moguls) & Snowmass (powdertrees). Previous boards Never Summer SL 2yr (liked it but wanted something faster), NS West 3yr (oh-boy new tech & topsheet (reminded me of a BMW except it handled in the snow :0).. Harpoon; I like the set back surfy style, short tail to flip direction, spoon tip to float the boat. Vario-sidecut and ripsaw in the back. Edge to edge nice & controlled, syrupy smooth turns. If you know how to set an edge it holds... if not, camber is not going to help. 5'8", #190, Age 60ish, size 10 boot, Cartels, 156cm length ("my normal size") Skip the "go shorter" hype, imho more is more and makes it more versatile. Wax it soon, factory wax was gone in 2 rides. It's fast & fun enough to make me not regret the $$$. I like to ride with the bindings slammed back. can do a switch turn or2 for mogul tree. like looking forward, bindings are both forward... front one is really forward. My old body hates the sideways down the hill twist. Board helps me get out through the Breaks
LoveIt
AWESOME board in powder and the trees. Super fun, surfy, playful board that loves to turn.
The Harpoon is an easy-going board for most conditions. I've ridden it on everything packed groomers, hard ice, and some resort powder (no backcountry.... yet). It's very forgiving and glides like a dream over almost all terrain. The only quibble I've had is ice. If you get onto that pure hot/cold-cycled ice, it just doesn't have the edge hold. I think it's a combination of a short edge (152), the rocker-dominant profile, and the fact that I'm not an advanced rider.
I got to demo this board at Loveland today. I loved it especially in the trees and on the steeps. Not much powder to try it in, but looking forward to that. While it is not a carver, it carves fine. You might not want to bomb the groomers at top speed, but it was fun and skate like. Never Summer likes to say they are surfy, which I bet they are in powder. Hoping to make it to the factory this week and pick one up.

This thing slays any terrain that it faces. A blast on groomers, mashed potatoes, good on icy conditions, but on Pow… Wow. Felt super confident imitating turns in the woods a couple weeks ago when we got a fresh powder dumb. Highly recommend, will pick up another at some point in time.
