Men’s 2023 Shaper Snowboard

I scored a '22 Shaper factory demo and finally got to ride it yesterday. FUN AS HELL. I was kind of apprehensive about the mid rocker section having never tried any rocker, i thought it might be unstable or washy. but no. Solid edge hold, with the one small exception that at the end of a carve I felt like my back foot wanted to kick out, but I think it was my inexperience with the board and how to ride it. The shaper was fast, damp, stable, TONS of pop off side hits and ollying rollers, and completely stable and solid flat bottoming on cat tracks. Landing it was a little weird the first few times compared to my camber boards but 3 or 4 hits and it was totally fine. It felt the best slashing and surfing the softer stuff on the side of the run, the rocker made it very maneuverable, can't wait to take it in the trees when the snow gets deeper to allow for off piste. this feels like it will be an amazing party board for springtime slush too with how surfy it is. Overall it exceeded my expectations and will get lots of riding time.

I demoed this board in February at my home resort and it was definitely the best board I’ve ever rode for just being smooth, fun and playful. I loved it so much I bought one last month when they came available and I can’t wait to get it out on the slopes this winter!!

Since I bough this board my snowboarding life has changed completely, so I couldn't believe how manoeuvrable and playful it is. I have been on many other brands but this board is a real game changer. I really enjoy every day riding it and started to progress a lot with the butters and ollies. Have the 2019 Chris Corning model (unfortunately without his autograph) the 151 and I really like the design of its top sheet. This board float really well in deep powder but I was amazed how versatile it is when I hit the fun park last week. I simply love it!

Don't buy this if you ever want to blame your board for holding you back at basically anything. Mine is the '18/19 version, 159cm (prior to adding the blower stance), I've been on it for a few years, and the more I throw at this board, the better I like it. Carving? It'll lay knife edges all day, and made learning euro-carving straight forward. Jumps? Pop off whatever you can find and land with ease. Ricky Bobby likes goin' fast? This board is ready to outrun ski patrol. Switch? As good as you could possibly hope, for a tapered board. Pow? Scoot the bindings back and it's not too far off of my Swift.
