Ten years ago, we created the Proto CT, and the Never Summer Proto series quickly became the best-selling board in snowboard shops across the nation. Proto CT→Proto HD →Proto Type Two…and now the Proto Synthesis brings you a new definition of explosive pop and vice-like edge hold. The Proto Synthesis features Shockwave Rocker Camber, the most massive store of energy found in any profile in snowboarding, and Power Grip Sidecut, the biggest advancement in snowboard edge technology ever created. We’ve created the perfect All Mountain Twin, proving for the 4th time real American snowboard innovation can improve upon perfection.

This board rides so bad ass!!! I usually ride 152/153 full camber boards but got the 155 hoping for more pop and spring. I got it the design is awesome. Thx
Great. Thank you.
I finally got to experience it in all different conditions. All I can say is….holy moly! Greatest investment ever. I can explain it like this. It is a cross between a Lamborghini, 4x4 and 911 Porsche. If you have ever ridden in a Lambo, they want to go fast. They don’t like going through school zones. You literally have to hold this thing back because it wants to go fast in all conditions. When going through chudder and going fast, this thing rides over the rough like it has 4x4 suspension. You don’t even feel it underneath you. You simply go over it with ease and knees and legs thank you for it. Finally, this thing corners like a 911 Porsche on a track. I never once felt out of control and it turns and carves like a dream on ice, powder and groomers. I can’t compare it to the triple camber, but this thing made me smile the whole way down. I don’t know what kind of engineering you all are doing at the factory, but you guys are amazing. You are ahead of your time. God bless you all and thank you for changing snowboarding for the better.
I'm riding the 161. Wish there was a longer non-wide version like a 163. 164, or 165. Was (finally) able to properly test it today in about 18 inches of light POW in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont (also rode it on packed last week at Jay before the snow came). So having been on snow for 28 years, I can tell you this is indeed and "all mountain" twin. I come from the camber era and still ride many other boards from the mid-to late 90's that have insane taper (15=20mm), massive camber, and super set-back stances. As I am getting older, I now have to prefer (on most days) a more forgiving board - and one that I can ride switch as I get fatigued. I've tried a TON of newer stuff the last several years and NONE of them can carve really hard at speed-none of them. This board can do it. You can carve it duck stance if want, but you can also load the nose-even though it's a twin-and it will lock in and not buckle (like every other twin I have ever tried). Today in pow was great-rode my regular stance set-up and had plenty of float. I bought this after having tried the 158X at a Demo set-up at Jay Peak. Was torn between this and Proto FR, 165; but I think this is a better all-around board that is forgiving yet can still lock in the edge if you know what you're doing at speed. I wish there was a longer one. The X isn't bad if you like the extra leverage it provides, but with a Mens 8.5 boot I prefer my board quicker edge-to-edge. I haven't bought a board at full-retail in a very long time, but after discovering it at the Demo day this was worth it. Quality product - I'm looking forward to trying some others in the line-up.
Now that the seasons over I can give it a full review. I'm blown away at how effortlessly this board carves. I've ridden it on icy days, and slushy days, and everything in between and it never fails to impress. From black diamonds to the park to just cruising, this board does it all. I am beyond satisfied and cannot express how happy I am with this board.
