The Revolt

What can we say? Never Summer loves Colorado and we love a good longboard slide…dirt slides, cement slides, asphalt sides, and even puddle slides. Mark Riley is back at it again showing you what longboard freeriding is all about. This time Mark is rocking the Never Summer Revolt. Freeriding isn’t the future, it’s the present and that’s why you too should be rocking the Never Summer Revolt.

Mark Riley rides some Colorado downhill on the Never Summer Soldier Longboard

We went over to Boulder to catch up with longboard master Mark Riley. He said he wanted to “rip this mellow stretch of road”…. Mellow? Maybe for you dude! This guy can do it all on a longboard. He can cruise, shred the skatepark, bomb hills, and slide a damn longboard like nobodies business. He does all this on Never Summer Longboards equipped with NSA longboard wheels. We’re flattered.

First Ever Never Summer Moto Jam!!!!!! We’ve never been this excited about something that has nothing to do with snowboarding.

The first-ever Never Summer Moto Jam is going down Labor Day Weekend, Friday, September 2 through Sunday September 4, 2011. The Never Summer crew invites you and your family into the National Forest for a weekend of grilling, camping, maybe some drinking, and MOTO! Many of the Never Summer crew are avid dirt bikers and we’ve found the perfect spot in the mountains of Colorado for what is bound to be an awesome gathering. Hundreds of miles of trails for all ability levels. Sleeping in the forest has never been this awesome!

-Tracey and Tim Canaday

Never Summer Intern for a Day: 11 Year Old Team Rider Chris Corning

Chris Corning has been riding for Never Summer since he was 8 years old. His dad, Brook Corning, called Never Summer and told us he wanted to give his son, 11 year old Never Summer Team Rider, a real world view. We were told he had a total of one day of experience interning at Community Skate and Snow in Arvada. 11 years old…one day of experience…and we don’t have to pay him…if he works half as hard as he snowboards he’ll be our best employee. He’s HIRED!

Big ups to Brook and Laura Corning for raising this kid to be humble, respectful, and appreciative of all the things he’s received in life! Here’s a look at what he did during his day of hard labor:

Never Summer's reputation of quality and durability began in the early years of snowboarding. Designing and building snowboards since 1983 has given us years of experience in testing and perfecting our snowboard designs and construction methods. We’ve recently taken this experience building snowboards and brought it to the world of longboarding. The end result of our experience coupled with a close working relationship with the world's leading raw materials manufacturers and engineers allows us to bring you the most durable, high performance boards on the planet! Each board is carefully handcrafted in our Denver, Colorado factory to precision tolerances. Our domestic manufacturing and our ability to improve upon existing technologies resulted in Never Summer being awarded the first patent on any type of hybrid camber technology. We allow only the world's best snowboard shops to sell our products. Focusing less on excessive promotion and hype, and more on using the highest quality materials, craftsmanship, and customer service has made Never Summer the world's premier independent board company.
