Cobra

Introducing the new Never Summer Cobra! Driven off the massive success of our true twin Proto CT, the Never Summer carbonium Cobra features blunted ends for reduced swing weight, utilizes a drawn out nose that knifes thru soft snow, and a blunted quick spade tail to enhance float in powder. Slightly setback for a more directional ride the Cobra comes equipped with a dual top and bottom carbon matrix that provides incredible power underfoot. The Cobra is the highest performance and most versatile all mountain board ever made. Its futuristic shape combined with the time tested edge hold of Vario Power Grip Sidecut gives you the ability to strike any terrain with deadly force.

For this season I got the SL 158, Heritage 162 and the Raptor 169. I have not rdiden any of them yet as nothing is open so far, but I ve got a pretty good idea of what I can expect. Just from some carpet riding after I set it up, I did notice that the SL is lighter and seems to have a bit softer flex than my 2010 SL. I ll be using it on all the crusty hardpack days. The Heritage will replace my SLs as my do all board for all the mediochre conditions days, and the Raptor for big days only. I had a 2008 Heritage with traditional camber and it was a super fun board despite the fact that I was turned on to a blank R&C prototype SL-R that same year. I ride switch about half the time and I thought the Heritage performed great either way. It was a concern of mine because SLs definately do. I hope that with the added flex the new SL still handles well at super high speeds. Maybe they increased the dampening a little bit to compensate for it. Bottom line is that they re all Never Summers and I ve not had one yet that I didn t like. And I ve had a few of them.
