We didn’t travel the world, or ride in helicopters, or build a private superpipe.  What we did do was create a movie; with our friends, that represents what snowboarding means to us.  HAVING FUN!  20 years ago Never Summer adopted the philosophy of an older, more established company from Vermont… Ben and Jerry’s, “If it’s not fun, why do it?”  For us it still holds true.  Follow us as we travel around hitting what we can, where we can, when we can.  Enjoy!

Cameron Lawrence riding the Never Summer Assault Longboard at Dinosaur Ridge in Golden, Colorado. Cameron shows off the Assault’s agility, smooth and stable ride, and functionality.  The Never Summer Assault is definitely the skateboarders longboard.

The Never Summer Soldier is the perfect complement to Mark Riley’s superior longboarding skills! Luckily we recruited him to ride for the Never Summer Longboard Team.  Only premium, handcrafted, made in the USA longboards can withstand the beatings he lays down on the streets of America.

Video Production student Quinn Maxwell put together this four minute informational piece on Never Summer Industries and our patented RC Technology.  Have a look inside our factory in Denver, CO and hear from “The Coolest Guy You Know”, Gags, and The Hammer.  We have to assume Quinn aced the class…

Heather might be the best rider you know.  She also might be the smartest person you know.  In addition to being an awesome snowboarder Heather just earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Astrophysics.

Okay, we’re totally intimidated…

Congratulations Heather!

Never Summer Industries was extremely psyched to be able to attend the welcome home ceremony for G Company 2-135th General Support Aviation Battalion. These soldiers just returned home from a year of saving lives in Iraq. The 135th is a helicopter medical evacuation unit, or MEDEVAC unit.  The primary mission for the 135th G Company in Iraq was to provide life-saving support to US and Coalition Soldiers.  G Company flew more than 2200 hours and provided MEDEVAC evacuation for over 240 US and Coalition Force personnel.

A helicopter intended to film the Buffalo Bill Downhill longboard race on Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO crashed today while hovering above the finish line.  Without warning the aircraft started to drift downward towards a large pine tree.  The helicopter’s rotor clipped the tree rendering the rotor useless.  The landing skids hit the ground perpendicular to the slope of the ground causing it to “bounce” ninety degrees counter clockwise.  It seems that the force of the skids hitting the ground caused the tail rotor to shear itself from the aircraft.  I do remember seeing the tail rotor strike the tree also but that memory is hazy and the video I have watched since doesn’t seem to confirm my impression of the incident.  When the landing skid made contact the second time, this time parallel with the slope of the ground, the weight of the helicopter’s front end forced the copter to tip over coming to rest on it’s canopy.  Thankfully no one was hurt.  Police evacuated the area and the remainder of the races were canceled.  As if downhill longboard races aren’t exciting enough, this years Buffalo Bill Downhill is sure to go down in history as one of the most exciting longboard events ever.

See Photos of the longboard action and post helicopter crash…

Check out Stephan sliding the streets of Denver , Colorado on the Never Summer Descent V2 Longboard.  Stephan definitely puts the new nose and tail kicks and redesigned shape to good use!

The Buffalo Bill Downhill Longboard Race returns to Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO this Saturday May 7 and Sunday May 8.  This is an awesome spectator event and we guarantee that you’ve never seen anything like it!  What else are you going to do on Mother’s Day?

Here’s to our Denver Nuggets beating Oklahoma City Tonight!

Never Summer stopped by the home of the Denver Nuggets, the Pepsi Center, to show Nuggets mascot Rocky the new Never Summer Norad longboard.  Since Rocky is a huge longboarding fan he insisted we grab our GoPro Hero to catch the action…

GO NUGGETS!

Freeriding isn’t the future, it’s the present. If you prefer to just cruise, hit some banks or slide the steepest switch-back in town, this deck does it all! The Revolt’s twin shape and Rocker profile create the ultimate deck for any style of riding you desire. Light and durable, the Revolt is hands down the best freeride longboard on the market!

When Pop C!ty was asked to test the “Proto”, Never Summer’s new true-twin, blunted out, carbonium topsheet, “all mountain freestyle” snowboard, we were stoked. There’s been alot of hype about this board, so Ben grabbed a ’52 wide, Dave copped a ’57 and we headed to the Canyons to see what was good.
