Straight up, this is the best powder board I've ever ridden. There isn't even any competition. This board wants to "surf". I don't know how else to describe it but a very playful powder junky. It drives into quick and agile turns, allowing me to charge through narrow trees. The only reason this isn't my new daily rider is its lack of triple camber tech. There were a few occasions where I couldn't hold a good edge in the crud or on an icy run that was skied out. As a Midwest rider, I don't see enough powder to truly enjoy the needs of this board 😭
This board was recommended to me by Vince when I explained to him what I was looking for: Surfy, playful, and slays the fluffy deep stuff. We recently got nuked on in CO and I took this board out for a spin... it did not disappoint! I was floating and "wheelying" over everything. The float was phenomenal, and this board turns with absolute ease. I've ridden the board a few days on groomed and sometimes icy days and it holds its own there too. The loose playful feel is good everywhere.
So, I know this isn’t a review on the new mod. BUT, I bought last years model, and after a season, I’ve got this thing DIALED.
The swift is suuuuuuuch a stoke stick. I’ve hit thigh deep pow, knee deep pow, ankle deep pow then popped back on to groomers. It just shreds everything. It’s sooooo playful and after getting to know her a bit, I’ve never felt more confident on a board.
Today was -16 in Idaho, and had about a foot of pow on the shoulders, groomers were running fast… and she just handled. Whatever I asked of her, she shredded. Such, such a fun board. Having the ability to thrash some pow and immediately hop back on to the groomers was just mind boggling.
Solid stick.
This board is an absolute blast to ride. It makes tight carves like a dream, and jumps and lands surprisingly well. Set it back and enjoy powder days like never before. The board is forgiving and rips through the trees and moguls.
I rode this in a 153 and it was a good experience. Not to much powder so I am sure I am missing the best part about this board. Being on the east coast I rarely get deep powder days. I wanted to compare the ride before making a decision on my next board. It was a little damp for my preference and the tapper seemed a bit excessive for my use case, but the build quality and finish are great love the top sheet. I am sure this is weapon for deep powder surfing.
